When times get tough some stores close, and others open, and the company that operates the Poke Bowl chain Pokemoto announced it will be opening 4 new Connecticut locations.

Pokemoto already has an established presence in Connecticut. Maybe you've visited one of their 10 restaurants in Fairfield, Groton, Hamden, Middletown, New Haven (two locations), Norwalk, Stamford, Wallingford and West Hartford.

Now get ready as the chain has announced it will expand and open up new locations in Danbury, Milford, North Haven and Shelton.

According to a news release on the parent company's website, globenewswire.com, Pokemoto is the largest Hawaiian Poke chain in the state, and the newly signed agreements will bring its total count in Connecticut to fourteen locations – six corporate owned and operated stores, four open and operating franchise stores, plus the four newly signed franchise agreements.

The Pokemoto menu features healthy versions of traditional and non-traditional Hawaiian dishes, and offers its customers grass fed steak, lean turkey, chicken breast, Ahi tuna, salmon, shrimp, tofu, and plenty of plant based options. Of course vegetarian options are available, and the bowl combinations are virtually limitless.

The company also reports that right now there is no set location for the new stores, however the Pokemoto team will concentrate on sites that check all the brand’s demographic boxes including a heavy presence of Millennials and Gen-Zs, typically in an area with a heavy collegiate presence.

It seems the company that operates the franchise is moving and expanding rather quickly. Back in May of 2021 they only had 13 sites open, but since then by opening up new locations, and signing new franchise deals, they will be operating some 44 locations around the country by the time the new 4 Connecticut locations open, including the new store in Danbury.
