Wet drum separators
Wet drum permanent magnetic separator is suitable for mine, coal preparation plants, etc. It uses the weak wet magnetic field to sort out the strong magnetic ore, or eliminating the strong magnetic minerals mixed in nonmagnetic minerals. The magnetic separator has three kinds of magnetic fields such as upstream, downstream, and half counter-current, less 8000 Gauss. Magnetic drum separator is widely used in iron ore separating the factory. Magnetic drum separator is suitable for high-intensity magnetic minerals.
Wet drum separators applications
Magnetic drum separator/wet magnetic separator is used for wet magnetic separation of magnetite, pyrite, titanic iron and etc. with the size no more than 3mm. It is also often used to get rid of iron content in coal, nonmetal materials, and building materials. They are:
1. For primary rough dressings and refused tails, increasing recovery rate and reducing the load of the second stage grinding.
2. For the concentration of ferromagnetic minerals increasing ore grades and recovery rates.
3. Used before a High Magnetism Separator to remove ferromagnetic minerals from ore and prevent magnetic clogging.
4. Removing iron from non-magnetic minerals or materials.
5. Recovering iron from river and sea sand.
6. Removing iron from the wet slurry.
Magnetic Separator Features
If the material is supplied via a vibratory chute, it is possible to separate weakly magnetic particles, such as particles from machined stainless steel, and even paramagnetic particles. Due to the continuous cleaning, the drum magnet is very suitable for product flows with heavy magnetic particle contamination.

Working Principle of Counter-Current Wet Magnetic Separator
This wet magnetic drum separator is based on the different magnetic susceptibility between the ore minerals, and do mineral separation by magnetic force. When the slurry into the sorting area of wet magnetic separator, due to different magnetic susceptibility, under the magnetic force, the magnetic particles are adsorbed on the cylinder surface of wet magnetic separator, with the cylinder rotation to the concentrate port of discharge, then from the magnetic system into the concentrate tank by concentrate rinse water. Gangue and weak magnetic minerals cannot be attracted by the magnetic force, under the slurry flow force in the tank, they gravity into tailings discharge pipe in the reverse direction of the cylinder rotating.
